Book of Jude

Jude originated as a personal letter from a leader in the apostolic church to one or more of the congregations dispersed throughout the Roman Empire.

The author identifies himself as Jude, another form of the Hebrew name Judah. He was most likely Judas the brother of our Lord.

Although Jude was eager to write to his readers about salvation, he thought he ,use instead warn them about certain immoral men circulating among them who qwerty perverting the grace of God. Apparently these false teachers were trying to convince believers that being saved by grace gave them license to sin since their sins would no longer be held against them.

"See, The Lord is coming with thousands of his holy ones to judge everyone, and to convict all the ungodly acts they have done in the ungodly in the ungodly way, and of all the harsh words ungodly sinners have spoken against him." (14-15)

"In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires." These are the men who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and who do not have the Spirit. But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in God's love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life. (18-21)

A Parental S.U.C.C.E.S.S

Ephesians 5:17-21

Real Discipleship

We are called to follow Jesus not to just pray. We are called to give it all away to follow Him.

You cannot come with me unless you love me more than you love your own life. Luke 14:26

You cannot be my disciple unless you give away everything you own. Luke 14:33

Love God supremely. Lord of our lives. Love Him more than you love your family or your self. Anything keeping you from God needs to be put away.

Take your cross and follow Him. Be a dead man walking. Dead to anything that would distract you from God.

You must take up your cross each day and follow me. Luke 9:23

I have died, but Christ lives in me. Gal 2:20

I will never brag about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Gal 6:14

We have killed our selfish feelings and desires. Gal 5:24

Live in the light of eternity. Rely totally in His ability. You are only capable through Him. Finish what you start. Start a project and finish. Christ calls you to a task and you are to do that task until you are finished. Doesn't matter how well you start if you don't finish.

I have not yet reached my goal, and I am not perfect. But Christ has taken hold of me. So I keep on running and struggling to take hold of the prize. Phil 3:12

Surrender to the strong King.

Don't brag about tomorrow! Each day brings its own surprises. Prov 27:1

You can not predict tomorrow. You are not a master of your faith. We are all hopeless. Make a commitment to be who He called you to be.

Stay pure.

Hello? Anybody there?

Wow! I forgot all about this blog! I am really needing an outlet to express my feelings: good, bad, ugly, whatever it might be. I don't want to be judged for how I feel and I hope than none of you will. Just curious who will be reading what I posted. Let me know! :)
